Schumer has talked about them in speeches, interviews, and even mentioned them 𝟐𝟔𝟓 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 in his book. They have a full Hallmark-movie backstory:
— Joe sings the national anthem at Islanders games.
— Eileen helps with the church clothing drive.
— They supposedly have opinions on everything from Kung Pao chicken to steroids in baseball.

All 𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

And here’s the kicker — in Schumer’s own words, the Bailey “family” has guided his political life. Imagine basing your policies on people who don’t exist. No wonder the guy is out of touch.

Even in his fantasy, the Baileys lean 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 — voting for Trump, against illegal immigration, and upset about crime. Which means Schumer’s entire “moderate voter” shtick is basically chasing the approval of a pretend couple who probably wouldn’t even vote for him.

Only in D.C. could a career politician literally be led around by 𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬… and the media barely blinks.

@dcopechatter Of course I agree with this move. There’s always been laws on the books about homeless, drug addicts, mentally ill, criminal behaviors. Never in my life did I ever think that the taxpayer who pays for police& fire & schools , safe neighborhoods be thrown aside for lawbreakers

PRESIDENT TRUMP has extended a simple offer to the homeless people in DC — Be admitted into a homeless shelter and take addiction and/or mental health services.
If they refuse? “They will be susceptible to fines or to jail time. These are pre-existing laws that are already on the books. They have not been enforced."
What a novel idea, “enforce the laws that already exist”!
Law and order. You cannot have order if everyone is allowed to violate the law.
