Before anybody starts the conversation about tweaking the rule where the five highest ranked conference champions make the @CFBPlayoff when @NDFootball should’ve been in the playoffs instead of @JMUFootball or @GreenWaveFB, remember, Notre Dame has ELECTED not to be in a conference. This is as much their doing as the Committee’s. The CFP rules should NOT be changed just because one team doesn’t want to compete the way all of the other teams compete. @ReceDavis @PatMcAfeeShow @cbfowler

At this point @AlabamaFTBL should have been playing to keep a playoff spot. By going for a LONG first down with 7 minutes to go in your own red zone, you most likely give @GeorgiaFootball another score, solidifying a “blow out” which is the only thing that’ll kick you out of the playoffs.

Thanks for the insight. In other words, sacrificing safety for perceived viewership backlash, aka possibly taking a hit to revenue. Having played football for 8 years at a time before concussions became a recognized problem, and with CTE now being acknowledged as a real problem, it just boggles my mind that with all of the money the NFL has paid out for concussion related damage that they don’t grasp at proven safety innovations. Oh well, “follow the money” and machismo win out again over player health.

Why aren’t #GuardianCaps required for all #NFL players at all times? The NFL has already acknowledged they help protect players from concussions. Sounds stupidly macho not to require them at all positions at all times - practice, pre-season and regular season. Are they afraid fans won’t like the look?

Every Saturday morning we make absolutely sure we are tuned in well prior to the opening of the show to make sure we can get fired up for college football Saturday with your “anthem“.

We crank up the volume to wake the neighborhood, and after hearing the intro theme, we are fired up for the weekend!

What a letdown this morning.
