He continued to defend socialist construction on a moral, rational, and empirical level during the darkest and most vicious period of anti-communist reaction in modern history.

He had the courage to be 'marginal' yet principled, and yet as a consequence, helped bring, an entire generation, including many born during and after the 1990's, (myself included!) to awaken to the empire of lies that was 'pax Americana.'

Parenti is someone who it is all-too-easy to take for granted for those of us who have become Communists and are already invested in the Marxist tradition: Yet nearly all of us owe him a tremendous debt.

His legacy lives on as one of the most effective popularizers of genuinely Left-Wing thought, his speeches and writings continue to serve as a powerful pipeline to the Communist cause.

Contrasting him with the 'pseudo intellectual' pop-thinkers today, Parenti radiated true moral authority and courage, targeting directly the criminal US regime and its bankster capitalist masters, defending the legitimacy of anti-imperialist and socialist causes worldwide.

The best way to honor Parenti's legacy is to learn from his way, broaden and magnify the dissemination of truth about the past, the 'cold war' we didn't learn about in school.
