I put together the data of homeownership rates for refugees in Canada by years after arrival.
(Not all provinces had good data)

Almost 4% of refugees bought a home in their first year in Canada in Ontario, Alberta, and Manitoba.

By year 5, 20% of them bought a home in Ontario and double digit across other provinces.

Canada has one of the most unaffordable real estate market in the world, and people who apparently have nothing can afford it.

We either have massive fraud going on or taxpayers are showering them with that much money $$$.

To the Americans:

I've travelled all over the world. I've familiarized myself with many places, and met many people. And I'm a Canadian, although I’m privileged to reside once again in the States.

And here's something I've noticed, and it’s a key element of America's continuing greatness:

You bloody Americans value success, and you believe in its existence.

This is something that doesn't really happen anywhere else in the world. Even in other free democracies—the United Kingdom; Finland, Sweden, and Norway; Australia, New Zealand and Canada; Germany, France, and the Netherlands (great countries all)—a counterproductive cynicism too often reigns.

Success is equated with exploitation.
Ambition is looked upon with contempt.

This happens sometimes in the United States too—particularly among the miserable progressives, who confuse their resentment, ingratitude and unearned skepticism with wisdom.

But in your great country, by and large, striving is admired and success celebrated.

This means that more people strive and succeed in the US than anywhere else. And it's increasingly obvious. You remain stunningly more innovative and productive than any people anywhere else on the planet.

And so I say, as all should who are fortunate enough to live in the western world, let alone America:

Thank God for the United States.

Thank God for the wisdom of its founders.
Thank God for its faith in the free market and in the natural rights of man.
Happy birthday, you damn Yankees and Southerners.

Long may your admirable country dominate the world.

Long may your freedom and hope provide an example to those suffering everywhere at the hands of their malevolent states.

May your two and a half centuries of unparallelled success be just the beginning.

While I love my Alberta friends, today I’d like to send everyone a reminder:

Alberta isn’t the only region that wants out and needs access and control over resource development

For example, the Yukon literally has two of the largest proven natgas wells in North America, sitting there ready to go

But we can’t get any products to market because of tanker bans, elbows up bullshit, environmental nonsense, indigenous obstruction

…which forces our territory on federal welfare…

Ottawa loves it because they can send as many govt employees from ontario up here as it takes to vote for their pay check and hold the riding.

But One pipeline would pay for the Yukon’s future for 100 years.

No one in this country needs Ottawa.

The federal govt is a solution looking for a problem. All ottawa does is cost us money, freedom and our economic future.

independence shouldn’t be a left-wing or right wing movement. It should be about getting rid of waste, taxation and expanding freedom and prosperity for all.

I look at Alberta’s new pipeline

Its an enormous amount of red tape, additional cost and taxpayer burden to produce a product that will be non competitive price wise, while clean energy all over BC, Yukon and alberta is sitting there ready to go

Why can’t the Yukon determine its own future? Why can’t Alberta? What is the point of confederation if it’s one gigantic obstruction?

Why is anyone even remotely opposed to a pipeline under any circumstance?

Carney is trying to privatize the profits, subsidize the losses, then pick and choosing which provinces win and which provinces lose in the future

All while making sure his insider friends score billions in contracts on both sides of the argument.

It’s all so corrupt

To the parents thanking the gvmt for banning kids from the internet,

Every person using the internet does not need to be tracked or use digital ID because you don't know the word no.

Stopping kids from using social media isn't new, you could have done it all along, yourself.

The government is not your nanny just because you're too lazy or scared to parent.

I should not need to prove my identity everywhere I go online because you're afraid to prove to your kids that you have authority.

Stop enabling and encouraging the government to control more of our lives, simply because you have no control of your own.

A few years ago a South Asian family t-boned my wife at a two-way stop where they drove through the stop sign.

Her car was mangled, someone had to help her escape from the trunk.

It was 100% their fault and they almost killed her.

The Constable apologized to my wife and said she doesn't understand what's going on because they should be charged with reckless driving but the sergeant for some reason doesn't want to.

So they had a small ticket for failure to stop at a stop sign after blowing through it 30 km above the limit.

But wait it gets better....

Then they tried to sue her.

There was no concern for the person they almost killed, there was no apologies, but they didn't even blink an eye with 1 ounce of sympathy.

They just brought her closer to death than she's ever been and then tried to sue her for it.

I think about this every time I see another person killed on the highway with imported drivers who don't know or care about what they're doing.
