On the 2025 Rangers caravan, we visited the dig site for excavation of a 40,000 year old Colombian mammoth in Italy,TX on Tuesday thanks to Texas Through Time Museum. Josh Sborz and Cody Bradford joined me (a fossil with a fossil) at the site. Tusks can be seen on lower right.
Yesterday, Cody Bradford and Josh Sborz visited the @TexasThrough museum in Hillsboro, Texas, to learn about the 40,000 year old male Colombian mammoth skull discovered in Italy, Texas — now proudly named after the Texas Rangers!

Look how short this femur is! It does appear to be a juvenile - the condyles the knee side are poorly developed. The hip side as well. But it’s very short - much more so than it should be for a Dimetrodon. Possibly a secodontosaurus.
