Winter is brewing for the south!

The midwest and Northeast have already recieved multiple cold shots causing major snowstorms across those areas.

Looking into the future we could see some major changes for the south especially when we talk about a "polar votex".

By the end of this month i think areas much more south will get into some winter action along with very frigid temperatures.

We will be monitoring this closely as this could be the first big signal of the year!

Precipitation will begin Wednesday evening across the far SW TX Panhandle, rain will transition to snow after sunset. Coverage will expand southward overnight before diminishing late Thursday morning. Light accumulations are expected, with highest totals across the northwest.

Chances for some wintery precipitation thursday night have increased!! Mainly west of I-35 and north of I-20 have the best chances for any wintery precipitation. models are still far out and this will change !
