Declaring a national emergency under the National Emergencies Act does NOT create nor grant new powers to @realDonaldTrump

It only activates specific authorities that Congress has already written into law. Out of the roughly 130–140 emergency powers NONE OF THOSE powers authorize Trump to federalize or rewrite state election laws, or the U.S. Constitution.

And NONE OF THOSE emergency powers authorize Trump the ability to control, alter, postpone, or cancel elections, or to unilaterally impose the voting restrictions.
