A great group of educators!!!!

Each year, GISD campuses select a teacher that embodies the GISD vision and mission. These inspirational teachers, through their hard work and commitment, help our students grow to reach their potential. We are excited to recognize our Elementary Teachers of the Year!

@Flocabulary I teach because I can not "not" teach. It's genetic (I'm 3rd gen, daughter is 4th). It's my heart. I mean physically I hurt when I'm not teaching. It's my soul. I only feel at peace when I teach.

Until districts feel this financially, they won't protect us. File charges, call EMS, workman's comp, etc. Sad state we are in.

[𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐝 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧 @DrBradJohnson]

Not an easy topic. But superintendents, school boards, & districts need to support & protect teachers who who are bullied or physically assaulted by students. Yes it happens & we need to protect them. All teachers & students have right to be safe.
