WMAF is the most annoying/toxic discourse on the internet. Like, bud, if you go to a top 25 school or are in STEM, your dating choices end up being from a very specific demo pool.
WM can combat the stereotype of getting a mid tho: get one AM friend and get their honest opinion.
@David49906178@SaysSimulation CA is the largest contingent, but is underrepresented. VA is overrepresented. NY is proportional.
While geographically diverse, usually these guys are more conservative than their peers. If we talk about coastal RWers that heartlanders will listen to, it'll be them, not Yarvin
@David49906178@SaysSimulation Yes, but USMA is a very difficult school to get into with high demands for test grades (though not end all be all). This leads to a lot of people coming from top schools which are disproportionally in more liberal areas. Alot of guys there from Santa Monica, La Jolla, etc.
Dudes are gonna pick up this game as their first AC and be horrified when she helps with a false flag to bomb civilians or something with a big smile lol
@vivovinco@SaysSimulation I'm not entirely sure...I think we're seeing a force readjustment in the Army towards more drone heavy and technical requirements. We don't have any occupation missions that would necessitate a large-scale infantry need. We need educated warfighters, not just gun lovers.
@The_Davos_Man Not entirely sure I agree with the πΊπ¦ victory outcome, though I definitely see it as an option. Another option could be one of the pro-West factions takes power and tries to pivot desperately into the US+EU camp to stave off China taking everything
@SaysSimulation I think that inertia will only break if there's a serious threat to the integrity of the United States, in which case I think we will look at the possibility of a coup, but it wont be over political/cultural grievances 2/
@SaysSimulation Crazy...Houston and DFW are bigger than any coastal city besides NY/LA but get dismissed as "endless suburbs" by people who have never been.
I swear, whenever I travel to the coasts, I'm shocked about how little they know about the country. They're more aware of London than PHX
@Kazimierz280415@mattyglesias Definitely. I'm positioning more that Matt's idea that Poland had figured out this way to combine US capitalism and EU social systems to create an amazing economy is off-base. Not saying Poland hasn't done an amazing job, but I think Matt is off the mark on why
@SaysSimulation In my personal experience, most members, esp. those seeking combat, come from at the very least middle-class families
Bronze age/redneck larp is not really indicative of what the modern military is...
@SaysSimulation Alot of people in America don't realize how much of a family affair the military is. Every male in my family joined up; it wasn't even expected or pushed, it was just something you naturally wanted to be part of.
The other misconception is they think most mil members are poor
@Noahpinion Respectfully, it's not. Drones are not the end all, be all. Anti-satellite weaponry, tomahawks, patriots, etc. are all quite important still. Drones are a big piece of the modern war puzzle, but they are not everything
