Fan Death is a popular superstition in South Korea. Some people believe that Sleeping in a closed room with an electric fan can cause death. Despite no evidence of death, it’s rumoured that the South Korean government created the myth to lessen energy consumption in the 1970's.

In 2012, a statue of Jesus in Mumbai, India, had water mysteriously dripping from its toes. Worshippers began to collect the water for personal use, and even to drink it. The source of the water was found to be clogged toilets near the statue.
