Here's another perspective I hope many people can understand. I'll try and break it down.

When you insist that a good God cannot take a human life from this world, you have made your desires the frame of reference and grounding of what is good.

It's a self idolatry.

Like other creatures, our highest "natural" desire is to survive this world. Every creature is scared of death.

Because of that, death is the greatest evil. And when people die we never see them again so we grieve.

But no one truly dies to God. You're as alive in this world as in hades or Abraham's bossom, heaven or hell.

God can see you. You have not gone anywhere to God.

That means God has a totally different view of what good and evil is with respect to existence.

Good is fulfilment of purpose which is to glorify Him. Evil is to rebel from Him and not fulfil His purpose for you.

God can move a man from this world to spare him from an evil day ahead and it is GOOD.

God can move a man from here to stop his wanton wickedness because he won't repent and it is GOOD.

When you insist that God cannot be good because of your puny creaturely natural fears you are making God like man.

You are making your own fears and desires to be the objective ground of what is evil and good.

It's self-idolatry. It's incompatible with Biblical revelation.

And that is why it is so incoherent and needs a lot of cartwheels on a pin, non sequiturs and fallacies to prove from the Bible.

That's why to prove it you have to chip away at inerrancy of scripture, call some Apostles legalistic, say some books aren't written to christians and overall diminish the inspiration of scripture.

God can take lives from this world to the next. The Prophets and Apostles and the Lord say it many times.

And He's good when He does it.
