I would never judge someone as a bad person for buying a video game but I do think GTA6 is going to have an overwhelmingly negative impact on the industry.

Of course Rockstar isn’t the only ones contributing to it, Sony has raised prices and is trying to kill physical media, Ubisoft has been pushing the same thing, Nintendo raises prices and hate their fans and Xbox is Xbox, they all deserve criticism.

But GTA6 has so much hype from Rockstar fanboys the glaze is absolutely absurd and I have no doubt this game will start more garbage trends that continues to make the western AAA space worse.

HoYoverse’s AI companion game BSide: Olivia Lin is officially shutting down its online services after just 28 days of Early Access.
The game launched on Steam in China on July 13, 2026.

An offline version will be released on August 27 at 3 PM. Players will still be able to listen to Olivia’s piano performances but online features like sending letters and uploading MIDI files will be removed.

On August 31, BSide: Olivia Lin will be removed from Steam and its servers will officially shut down.
