Mr Toxic positivity here!
Everyone is concerned about #tarkov not being ready for it's 1.0 release on November 15th. Can you blame them though? I mean look at it right now, today. How could it possibly have a good release in less than 3 months?
Well here is a possibility I don't think many people have considered... And yes, I know this is copium and optimistic thinking. But it's way healthier than doomerism...
Game development is almost always on multiple branches. This means that there are essentially multiple versions of a game at different stages of development. Most often the 'live one' or the one people play is much older than the one being developed. Even with the BF6 beta we were playing a branch that was several months older than what the team was actively working on. This is done to improve stability for the average user.
I believe an even more extreme case exists with Tarkov. Looking at what content we got and how BSG has communicated what was going on, BSG split into two development branches back in the summer of 2024. Nikita has even stated this several times over the last year.
A majority of the team split off to work on the 1.0 The one we play, the live branch had much less development time devoted to it.
This showed itself in many ways, that were usually very frustrating. Things like old bugs returning or not being addressed for months (or years), no real new content, and IMO, the Hard Core wipe. These are all products of the primary focus of BSG being on 1.0 and release.
So what does this mean for 1.0? It's a guess of course, but I'm hopeful we see a drastically different and more complete game on November 15th.
Despite what many people believe, BSG's team is very talented, and I'm eager to see what a year of uninterrupted work results in. This applies not only to content, but optimizations, bugs, stability, and fingers cross, a more robust anti cheat.
Could 1.0 still be a disaster? Sure... I can't promise you won't, and I believe it's still a possibility.
One thing is for sure though, I'm not really worried about it. I can't change it, and I can't make the release better or worse, so I will just be along for the ride.

@AussieAntics Map is fresh and new which makes me want to play. Then I get on and get sprayed to death by a Clix white towel and get off. This is everyday in chapter 3 now
