@keneuoe_ Speed work! You could add intervals to your runs, eg. Fast 200m or 400m or 800m repeats with rest in between. This twice a week and gradually increasing intensity (progressive overload) would improve your pace. Fartleks also help.
Greetings.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Federation of Athletics Lesotho, Maseru International Meet, SporTronic Network, Lesotho Races and John C Chizu for inviting me to the Maseru International Meet, which was held yesterday. It was an incredible experience that helped me open my season on a high note. My performance in the men's D race was one of the highlights,a season opener and seasoner best of 44.75s gave me the confidence to take on more meets ahead.
The meet itself was top-notch, with athletes delivering some outstanding performances one being the U20 champion from Botswana Justice Oratile who delivered a stunning 44.62s. the level of competition was fierce, but it only pushed me to raise my game. Kudos to the Lesotho athletics team and organizers for putting together such a successful event. It's clear that Lesotho has the infrastructure and passion to host world-class athletes, and I'm glad to have been a part of it.
Events like the Maseru International Meet play a huge role in developing athletics in Africa. They provide a platform for athletes to test themselves against the best, gain experience, and improve. I'm excited to see what the future holds for Lesotho athletics, with meets like this, it's headed in the right direction, Thanks once again to everyone involved for the opportunity, looking forward to the next one.
