A fantastic couple of days at the ISMB Retreat in Cambridge, showcasing the plethora of science being produced across structural, computational, analytical and chemical biology! Big thanks to the organisers and we look forward to getting back to the lab with some fresh ideas!
Congratulations to our PhD student @sarahvckers, who won first prize at the ISMB Student Symposium for her presentation on the utility of ion mobility mass spectrometry for the structural characterisation of alpha-1 antitrypsin.
Great fun celebrating Kostas’ belated Inaugural Professorial Lecture. A huge thank you to the organisers and everyone who made it, as key members of his journey from metal head teenager in the Greek island of Samos to Mass Spec Professor at UCL!
(He is still a metal head….)
Great to have played a small part in the following. Fantastic collaboration with @smorfopoulou and everyone from the @judith_breuer team. Great to see @ucl science technology platforms supporting studies like this

A fantastic showcase of genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic and immunohistochemical methods to probe unexplained acute hepatitis in children, with mass spec data from our UCL STP: https://t.co/yckfWTcC65
Great collaboration and fantastic to see how the science technology platforms @ucl, including the mas spectrometry one, can support great science like this!
An excellent day at the Select Series On Tour @WatersCorp event. Excellent presentations, a tour of our mass spec lab and catch ups with lots of familiar faces! Also, a superb talk from our PhD student @aisha_benyounis!
