Vln1 and Vln2 7 players each, Viola 5, Cello 6, DB 3, Flute 3, Oboe 2, Cor A 1, Clarinet 2, Bassoon 2, Horn 4, Trumpet 2, Timps 1, Percussion 1 (snare and cymbal), Harp 1.

Born otd in 1880: Ernest Bloch, fascinating, innovative composer who followed his own path(s) and created a new/old musical language that would influence both classical and film music. A pity that 90% of his output is so little-known; he deserves far more attention than he gets.
