5 lessons I've learned in 20+yrs of Safety.

1. Safety is about people.

2. You never have all the answers.

3. Most safety paperwork is not necessary.

4. Asking “Tell me more about” and listening builds trust.

5. Connect with workers, speak their language, and assume nothing.
