Ryan hall is probably the least obnoxious, but I still find him moderately obnoxious.

Although I think he juices the drama to a sometimes copious degree, his livestreams are pretty good for keeping up with a storm system if you ignore the more annoying elements (the warning siren really needs to go).

Unfortunately it seems to come to come with the territory of storm chasing, or at least the ones that do it for an audience.

Ryan hall doesn't seem like a douchebag really but I think he cynically realizes he needs some good clickbait and drama to make a living as a creator.

Pecos hank is the goat and no one really comes close IMO

I am an atheist raised in a secular household. I love Tolkien's works and they have helped me in my understanding of people's faith/faithfulness. It is still difficult for me to understand on an ontological level, but I have been able to reflect on the impact of the written word on people's values and understanding of the world.

It's funny you mention goodreads. In the past, I used it to track books - both that I own and that I want to read. But lately I'm on it EVERY DAY even if I have nothing to update. I don't know why, but I think you hit on it. Just the idea of being able to get into a book - and knowing that there are truly endless adventures out there, it's an incredibly positive feeling. And given everything going on in the country (and world) today - knowing that you can get lost in a book is just so damn luxurious right now. As much as I love TV - it's too easy to also be on your phone checking social media at the same time. When reading, my phone is usually rooms away. Truly an amazing feeling.

With very few exceptions, my wife and I end every date at Chapters for this reason. Wander through the shelves, check out the bargain books, meet back whenever, buy our books and go home and read next to each other (and our ever increasing library).

Being near a large collection of books is simultaneously peaceful and exciting/intriguing.

Someone’s dog pooped in the Riverside Square Barnes and Noble a few months ago. I knew it was dog poop because the dog had stepped in it and there were little doggy foot prints leading away from the pile.
