@RamsgateAth_FC Some good football played, Steamers good value for the win.

Hawkinge look far off what they were last year when I saw them vs Minster in the cup.

What a good game of local football. A game of two halves. A physical battle, edged out by Minster! Would love to lean on the story behind this fixture, but won’t.

@KCFL1516 don’t fixture the return leg till the end…! This could be a league decider for sure!

[Minster FC @MinsterFC1911]

We win our opening game against @RamsgateAth_FC at The Rec. Ollie Harris taking us into the break 1-0 up then an equaliser midway in the 2nd half. Josh Belsey popping up with the winner late in the game.

@justsayitbooooy @Non_League_Talk You cannot fault how he has built the club up from a community aspect and probably as commercial brand - but how the “footballing side” of the office is acting all of that hard work will eventually come undone. I hope I am not right of course!

[Thanet Footy Fan @ThanetFootyFan]

@StuartVahid @Non_League_Talk It’s the whole production that’s being emanated out of there Stuart… if only the footballing side of the club could take a leaf out of the community run portion…?

[Thanet Footy Fan @ThanetFootyFan]

@KenningtonFC I know a couple of the Kennington lads and was looking forward to watching them play against RFC… they have found out about this on ‘X’ like I have! 😂👀

[Thanet Footy Fan @ThanetFootyFan]

@JustinP70664433 @Non_League_Talk Both teams Justin? Who do you mean? Reading between the lines this will be made up of those 23s players looking to start off with adult football. They need to be careful though. The KCFL Premier Division should not be underestimated! Ashford (Steamers) nearly went down!

[Thanet Footy Fan @ThanetFootyFan]

@Non_League_Talk It does make you wonder what the discussions between Minster and RFC were… and whilst I will say, it all seems a bit much relocating the club and renaming it - it’s like the CITY GROUP 😂

The positive for someone like me is more local football to watch!!

[Thanet Footy Fan @ThanetFootyFan]

@MinsterFC1911 Well Done to @MinsterFC1911. Over the full 120mins I think you deserved it. Grew and grew into the game. Your changes were more effective and fitness levels shone. Strength of the squad as a whole told a huge portion of the story I feel. Great achievement!

@MinsterFC1911 @KCFL1516 @KentFA @Non_League_Talk @NonLeagueCrowd @HourKent @nlprogs Makes a lot more sense given the recent announcement of Ashford becoming potentially the “Ramsgate Steamers”

Fair play to Minster for sticking by their own identity.

Brilliant statement. A club that decided to stand by its 113 year history and not become a feeder team to Ramsgate. 👏
