I used to be a blog about our love/hate relationship with Miami. Then I forgot to renew my URL once & all my beautiful writings disappeared into the interwebs.
Today my COVID vaccine journey feels like trying to win Jingle Ball tickets on @Y100MIAMI. I have two browsers open on my computer, one on my phone and four friends hoping to be caller 100.
Getting the COVID vaccine is like getting into LIV. Everyone I know knows someone that knows someone that got them in, and I’m still outside the red velvet ropes waiting for a sketchy promoter to get me in.
The Virgo in me is really loving that you can’t go eat anywhere in Miami right now without a reservation. It is forcing all my anti-planning friends (i.e., the spur-of-the-moment Geminis) to make plans with me in advance. Finally.
Based on the news headlines (and videos circulating social media) alone, Miami Beach sounds very post-apocalyptic right now. Meanwhile, outside my bedroom window, peace and quiet.
