Beyond Design: Why Waste Management Is Central to Truly Green Buildings
Adequate waste management is a key variable in determining whether a building can genuinely be described as green.
Last Sunday, I had the privilege of hosting the Department of Architecture, KNUST, at Rockcity for the presentation of data gathered during their 10-day peri-urban survey exercise in the Kwahu East District Assembly.
It was truly inspiring to witness third-year students translating classroom knowledge into practical solutions for real community challenges, under the able guidance of Head of Department, Prof. Daniel Y.A. Duah, and Studio Master, Prof. Alexander B. Marful.
Their dedication and creativity reaffirm my belief that the future of Ghanaβs architecture is not only bright but transformative. Congratulations to the entire team for their outstanding work!
