Let's break down WHY Inter Miami's backline keeps conceding so easily. It's not one thing — it's a few problems stacking on top of each other.

1. Positioning & an unbalanced line. When one fullback pushes high and aggressive, the other side doesn't tuck in to cover. That creates a domino effect...a center back gets pulled wide, and suddenly there's acres of space between the defenders for teams to exploit. The line gets stretched and uneven.

2. Defensive transition. This is the big one. Messi and Suárez don't track back when Miami lose the ball, understandable at their age, but it leaves the team outnumbered the second possession flips. Opponents race into that space before the defense is set.

3. Tired legs late in games. Look at when they concede...it's so often in the final 15-20 minutes. That's fatigue. And tired legs lead to lazy, simple mistakes: losing your mark, a step slow to the ball, a rash challenge. The San Diego equalizer, the Nashville equalizer were both late, and both avoidable.

4. Individual errors. Miami have led the league in errors leading to a shot. It's not just tactics — it's concentration lapses at the worst moments.

The talent up front masks it, but until the structure and the fatigue are addressed, every game will continue this way.
