Eskom continues to make steady progress in improving the performance of the generation fleet:

📉 Unplanned outages (UCLF) have decreased to 20.77% year-to-date, an improvement of 7.97% compared to the same period last year.

🛠️ Planned maintenance remains a key priority, with an average of 5 712MW under maintenance to improve long-term plant reliability.

⛽ Diesel-fired generation remains significantly lower, with OCGT usage 88.89% below the same period last year. The OCGT load factor of 1.08% is well below last year's 9.71%, demonstrating reduced reliance on emergency generation.

These results reflect Eskom's continued focus on delivering a more reliable and sustainable electricity supply for South Africa.
