If I could have Disney get rid of any ride in Magic Kingdom... it would still be the Jungle Cruise... such a pointless ride when we have Animal Kingdom. I get it for other parks, but you really only ride for the skippers. Would rather us get rid of it and have the Safari guides be able to joke more.
@BrerOswald@geoffkeighley Well... it WAS a Square Enix title... and they said Kingdom Hearts would not be released until this, so I guess we know at the very least it's probably Holiday 2027 before release.
It's quite simple: this isn't the start. They have been redoing Tommorowland's asthetic for years. The Peoplemover pylons, the Buzz entrance, the Monsters Inc Sign, the rocks, the repainting of some of the roof pieces.... I mean you can't seriously think this is the start right?
Really can't wrap my mind around this move by Disney. I don't get what spending the money on this demo gets them. I can understand redoing Tomorrowland, but this is an odd start to that if that's what they are doing.
@LorenzoPires_ I want more than just retro future. I want an optimistic look into our future again. Make things imaginative again. The 94 was fantasy but not a real future. I want something that could be a real future if we keep dreaming!
I KNOW I will get some flak for this BUT I am glad they are starting to remove this theming. Yes I enjoyed it, but as they have redone each attraction it has made less and less since to keep it, even some just being painted over. I would rather them remove it and try to make the themeing cohesive rather than keep a few pieces hanging on. My REAL hope is that it means Astro Orbitor may get a redo soon :) would love to see a nice silver or white rocket on top rather than the current standing on that's like a sore thumb.
This is a first for me and Kingdom Hearts... BUT this is the first time I 100%, without a doubt, believe with every bone and fiber of my being... that we will get absolutely nothing for Kingdom Hearts. Please prove me wrong.

This is just this particular image, I'd personally like Orange and Green to be the colors, similar to the Carousel of Progresses current colors. Green fits Monsters Inc, Buzz, Carousel. Orange fits Carousel, Astro Orbitor, and Speedway. Blue then fits Space, Tron, and Peoplemover. So boom a nice color mix.
I'd love some neon coming in, but it would be nice if it was a bit more as mood lighting less trying to accentuate certain buildings. Shanghai does it really great, and would help blend Tron into the land better since rn it's kinda a bit of a sore thumb cause it’s a drastic difference.
@ScottKumka True. I think Disney is holding out that they might be able to loosen up on the Abestos ruling, as there was some conversations to potentially get the building to be able to be half torn and redone.
The nice thing about them doing it this way is that they have been able to keep a majority of the area open at any given point. Once CoP is done I'd assume it's either Raceway or Space getting redone. They won't touch Cosmic Rays because it's too popular. They could do a refresh while keeping it open tho.
@JonCharlesLBV It has nothing to do with how the lights were hooked up, has everything to do with the fact they couldn't go as a team and physically make this first. They had to do it all virtual and then place it by construction. None of the imagineers actually hooked up the lights man...
I absolutely can. Imagineering’s Florida workforce is stronger than ever following Bruce Vaughn’s return with resources being distributed extremely efficiently right now. Sure, World Celebration is an absolute mess and I strongly dislike it, but the Imagineers on that project were handcuffed during the pandemic. I’m sure they aren’t happy with it either. I don’t think it’s fair to compare a project that was designed over virtual meetings during a pandemic to a beloved classic being updated with an incredible team behind it. Carousel of Progress should be a big home run.
