@CordyCutie @PlayWithPenny@FrancieR13@Scaachi Skinny shaming absolutely exists. I’ve experienced it, and it’s just as damaging as the comments I get now that I’m not as thin. I’m no longer a size 0, but I wasn’t invalid. I deserve to not be the shitty threshold of some random writer’s article.
@schoenbe7@PlayWithPenny@FrancieR13@Scaachi Your bio says “feminist”, but your commentary says “I’m judgemental and obv an example of internalized misogyny bc I feel the need to immediately invalidate a women bc I don’t like what she says”. 🙃
@realsnoopbailey@JillFilipovic@AOC A simple google search (I know, that’s a STRETCH for you) will show results on how the word is rooted in hatred of the Black race in America when used by anyone outside of that ethnicity group. Reclaiming the word as their own is a way to control its impact. Educate yourself.
@CocaCola From one marketing professional to another, PLEASE pull your :30 commercial that whispers “delicious” ten million times ... it is terribly executed, annoying, and doesn’t showcase your product well.
@mstortoise @Drzgoo @laurenxx2889 @TrotTaBoston @DrDGrossman@joshfoxfilm Yeah, that’s the whole point. And are we just going to cruise by the plethora of HORRIBLE and DEBILITATING side effects women experience from hormonal BC, all for the sake of men not having to experience the same effects? So it’s ok for those with estrogen to suffer, but not men?
“I wanted to fly planes on an aircraft carrier, but my father had fought in World War I, and he told me that we’re a family who goes into the army..."

And y’all wonder why women don’t feel - and truly aren’t - safe. This is unacceptable, appalling, and honestly embarrassing to men as a whole. Do better, influence your male friends and family members to be better, and advocate for women. It’s really not that hard.
Also, this is not a tweet thread about me or a personal experience. It’s in response to a conversation I overheard and I was honestly confused as to how a grown man doesn’t understand basic biology ... ?
If your SO “doesn’t tell you” until they’re biologically 8-10 weeks pregnant, there’s a good chance she didn’t know or attributed the common symptoms to something else. So please, don’t pull this whole “she hid it from me and is trying to lock me in” bullshit. (3)
Stress, hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, fatigue, over-working themselves, low weight, common flu or intestinal viruses ... these can all cause nausea, dizziness, bloating, and other signs of pregnancy. (2)
Why do a good portion of men not understand that when a woman becomes pregnant, there’s not some switch in our head that happens at the moment of conception that says “YOU’RE PREGO”? Like, there are a million reasons why a woman’s period would be late or missing. (1)
@autozone Geez, please hire a better social media agency. This response is a grammatical nightmare, and reads like a crappy response to a customer complaint vs a valid employee issue that was obv mismanaged.
@runmarycain THANK YOU for your courage, and for working with a good production company to make an informative, easily-digestible video about a serious systemic issue. There are too many programs “for women” that are mismanaged and constructed by ignorant men.
@phayonhlabatsi Yes, being lonely in your intellect is an actual terrible problem. We are social creatures, so to be groomed to be alone later in life sucks. Stop blaming him, and start blaming the system that made him this way.
@humansofny Emotional abuse by a parent is a special kind of hell. Being convinced that you are the reason for their suffering damages you in ways no one should have to endure. Prayers for her comfort as she navigates the world bearing this weight.
