When my niece (@limp_lettuce ) was little, she couldnt pronounce 'Neecy' and called me 'HeHe', it was so endearing.
Now, one of her daughters called me 'Neepy' and I hope it sticks, because I just adore it.

Actually, yours isnt an original Game Boy....the originals were grey in color and much boxier...the graphics were only in black/green.
You have there, the GameBoy Color, which was released in 1998...nearly ten years after the original. 🎮

I can relate to the feels...in a way....I was good with all the 'starting' schools, it was the 'finishings' that I struggled with. Finishing grade school 😖, finishing high school 😥,
college was the worst....
Lost my shit--full on ugly cry- the day my son graduated college.
