There’s so much lore behind Halo that so many games can be created in a dark setting reminiscent of the zeitgeist of OG Halo surrounding the Precursors, the Forerunner/Human/Flood War, the War of Beginnings, the lighting of the Halo Array, the Endless, the Insurrection etc.

However, I think you can keep Master Chief the main character of the franchise while simultaneously introducing new characters.
