Not sure who needs to hear this, but sticking a camera in a class and live-streaming to remote learners is NOT teaching. Teaching virtually is all-consuming and requires significant back & forth communication. Requiring simultaneous F2F & virtual instruction sets both up to fail.

Thread 1/4: Today marks the end of my 10th year teaching. 7 years ago, I made a decision that many thought was crazy, I left Gwinnett County Public Schools to began a career as an online teacher in a charter school that had been open for 2 years.
3/4 As I close out this first decade of my career I am excited to begin my next chapter as an Instructional Coach at our High School. While I will certainly miss teaching Georgia History and my colleagues in the Lower School,
