Also, if you've seen the show, you would know that Gumball is a very bad example to use if you're trying to make a point about cartoons looking the same. Visually, it's quite unique.
Just a very weird post that transported me back to 2019 lol.
All of the shows on the bottom are over a decade old, and this style isn't prevalent in western animation anymore. Just look at some of the most popular cartoons in the last six years.
I just finished NiGHTS Into Dreams (specifically the Steam port). This does a really shit job telling you what to do, but once you figure out what the game is asking of you, it becomes really fun! I've never played anything else quite like it.
I’ve been streaming my first playthrough to friends on Discord. They always roast me for how badly I’m doing, but it’s all in good fun. I like having an excuse to VC with them.
I played Ultrakill because my friend @TrinketsClover bought it for me. It's fun, but also incredibly demanding, more so than almost any other game I’ve played. I’m not even sure how I was able to get through most of the later levels, lol (I played on Standard).
Gen Z cracks me up. They're generally so health conscious that they're afraid pastrami will give them cancer, but their information diet is pure slop that gives them basically every mind virus and intellectual cancer you can imagine, and they're proud of it.
I played Graveyard Keeper for a bit because it was free on Steam for a time. The game isn't bad or anything, but I just can't help but get bored very quickly after booting it up. Sorry to anyone who likes this, but it's evidently just not my thing.
I played Saihate Station. This game left me pretty shook by the time I was done with it. I thought the message at the end was really beautiful and something I needed to hear.
Really easy recommendation. I look forward to seeing more from this developer.
