@kritipraa I basically literally am going through this rn. I never had this kind of scrutiny until I turned 29. Life in the US where I grew up was sheltered yet still not judged. But now back in India it’s the absolute worst
Friendly reminder that India’s 1% divorce rate isn’t because of an overwhelming amount of happy marriages. It’s because divorce is still considered to be taboo and people are shamed for it and often not allowed to even consider the idea of divorce to be an option.
@accidentlwriter I’ve met her twice. Both times, not only was she delightful, but her accent modified because of her bg traveling and living overseas having a Brit husband. I myself have the same background and my accent’s a bit muddled due to this so I can esp tell when someone’s faking it
