I've read and re-read this article about the chip industry's strategic roadmap a half dozen times now.

The most important key takeaway is that there's a massive change underway. Where the fundamental design of transistors is shifting from FinFET to a Gate All-Around architecture.

That's a much more complex design. Which gets even more complex when you then use advanced packaging to combine chiplets together, perhaps even vertically, into a single processing system.

I'm thoroughly convinced that a basket of $AMAT, $ASML, $SNPS, and $TSM's stocks held for the next decade will turn out to be an excellent long term investment decision.

But $INTC and $QCOM, I'm not quite as sure about.

These characters came from a time when nearly everyone involved in their creation was white. Recasting them expands their audience and rights that wrong.
