Made a small purchase to improve future devlogs.
Let's see how I can operate this without any prior knowledge of cameras, but it's kind of cool to learn something completely new that isn't game dev.
ps. The upcoming devlog will be a long one, so much new stuff to showcase :)
Multiple good news & updates:
- Road to Vostok has sold +200,000 copies
- Reviews remain Very Positive (~4,5K reviews)
- Daily active users is 43,114 (avg. 7 days)
- Modding scene is thriving (~230 mods)
- Patch is coming next week (ETA Apr. 22)
ps. If you have experienced crashes or hardware issues, this upcoming patch should also hopefully provide a solution :)
There's currently a community event going on called Shelter Competition.
You can participate simply just by posting a screenshot from your shelter to the RtV Discord.
At the end of April, community will vote three best shelters and those will be awarded with IRL Savotta merch.
Survival shooter Road to Vostok 'secured the entire production budget for this game for years and years to come' within 24 hours of its Steam early access launch https://t.co/w4te16DOd7
The past 24 hours have been absolutely insane.
Road to Vostok is currently Top Seller in many countries, front page on Steam and with Very Positive rating.
I will share some launch stats when I have gathered enough data (+ some sleep), but I can already say that the launch has been extremely successful for a solo dev and secured the entire production budget for this game for years and years to come.
Thank you!
Five days left, developer's sleep deprivation intensifies :)
Also one quick request. Recent wishlist additions have a big impact on release visibility. If you haven't wishlisted the game yet, that would help a lot!
Your decision to purchase early access is now sealed at the latest, because the potatoes have arrived :)
A great combat snack on its own and useful for several different cooking and crafting recipes such as fish soup.
Just finished another playtest, where the goal was to complete some of the hardest tasks in early access (without any dev tools).
Based on this playtest, I can pretty confidently say that the difficulty for some of these tasks is pretty nuts.
Here's few screenshots of my favorite tasks from Doctor and Gunsmith.
In total the early access has now 30 tasks, so 10 tasks per trader.
Good news.
Road to Vostok just passed the Steam review process, so we are set for Early Access launch on April 7.
This was the last external topic left, so now everything is up to me and I will be polishing the actual release build all the way until launch day.
