@GrumpyOGrognard @Cadaverific0 @MagicalyMundane Nah. The dm can fit the players lore into their lore. It's a game and a team effort, if a player came to my table with this idea I'd run with it 100%. It's fun. The whole point of giving a dm your back story is so they have stuff to play with. I see a hundred plot hooks here.
@MajorRoe@matthewmercer@Marisha_Ray@TedLasso Your zodiac isn't just your sun sign, which is the one you probably know. You have a whole chart based on your birth day and time. So you have a sun sign, moon sign, ascendant/rising sign, etc etc.
Other DMs who fully improv your sessions: what is the craziest thing you have ever pulled on your players with no planning? I'll go first: I pulled my party back in time (and teleported them) with no warning or prep work. #dnd#ttrpg#pathfinderrpg
@Cai_the_GM I use mine for almost all of my rolls As a dm it apparently gives my players confidence that I am rolling truthfully. I just like the sound and the fact that I can dump dice in while I'm talking and come back to them in a second. I also use it for my players very important rolls.
I just decided to call my current party "the fire department" because their first big quest was to rescue a cat. They haven't agreed to this name, or even heard it yet. But that is their name now.
Tomorrow my players are headed to the library to do research. In trying to come up with book titles that would be vaguely useful to them I named one/some the Encyclopedia Galterrica cause my world is called Galterra. I've never groaned at my own dumb ideas before.
@dndgal@VoiceOfOBrien Game of thrones (the show) literally has content warnings. Thats what TV ratings are. That's what they are for. That's the whole point. Putting content warnings is not a bad thing and will not detract from the show in the slightest.
@EFFERV3X @MileyMan1066@VoiceOfOBrien Providing content warnings for content that could cause issues is not "facilitating cowardice." You ever been to a movie that didn't have a rating at the beginning? It tells you exactly why the movie is rated that way. Calm down dude, content warnings won't ruin your content.
@Brandon1478 @TurnToPaige16 @Marisha_Ray Its not about disagreeing. Its about the fact that he knowingly, consistently broke the Twitter guidelines, was warned several times, and got banned as per the rules. Its not censorship. Its Twitter finally following through on their own rules.
Call and set out to bring justice to communities like his. He was killed in battle where he focused more on dealing damage and healing his friends than healing himself. His party put his body in the waves and the ocean carried him home.
#365daysofpathfinder jan 2, another character. Wade was a half-undine paladin of the ocean. He was a reluctant paladin, not seeking out fights until his village was set upon by pillagers who polluted the waters and caused a massive fish kill. He finally gave into the ocean's 1/2
lizard he thought was a baby dragon, even though the party druid assured him otherwise. He spent money frivolously and would give gold to his party when they needed it. He was a delight to play and honestly I miss him!! Art by @witch_planet
#365daysofpathfinder jan 1: let's start easy with a character. My first campaign I played Bondar Gumberstump, a dwarf bard who wore a flower crown and loved to laugh and sing songs about his friends. He favored the lute and he used a sword. He had a monkey named Shylock and a 1/2
For 2021 I will be doing a daily tweet about a character, NPC, or place from my pathfinder worlds. Characters will all be mine, some played, some not. Tag is #365daysofpathfinder if you want to follow along. I'll try and limit each to 1 tweet but I'm a wordy person 😅
I don't have many followers here, but I need some help. My players want to play an all evil campaign and I want to do that for them! My world is a massive archipelago, so lots of sea travel. What kinds of quests should I prepare for my band of ne'er-do-wells?
So I did a thing. @GoblinDiceCo is my new Twitter for my new dice account! If you want to follow me on my journey through this hobby with the hope of it becoming a side job!
I ran that one shot! It went well, they slayed the big bad wolf and got the cure for the plague. It was very fun, and I only panicked for the first 10 minutes.
