@SoTFest Maybe before jumping to conclusions and throwing out a “cause” blindly, causing more strife to an already on edge community, you do some investigations first. I’m gonna be straight up with you. Immediately claiming it was spiked drinks with NO PROOF was fucked up. Do better!
I’m so extremely relieved that it’s looking like it was not what we thought it was
(I had a whole post this morning but 1. Had to make a train, and 2. Didn’t want to post until I knew the potential victims were doing okay)
I was there-
I’ve never seen an event end so fast out of the possibility of a safety concern. (And I’ve been to a hell of a lot of events)
MAD props to the team for ending it and working with authorities to find out if/ and if so-who it was, along with getting medical help for those involved and notifying the place they knew a lot of us would be heading to)
I’ve had my drink spiked before and it’s one of the scariest things/horribly physically sickening- but also mentally upsetting. I was so worried someone would be experiencing that- especially traveling and away from home even while is safe hands at a hospital.
The #sotfest team were ON IT the second it was a possibility. In my own personal experiences it’s rare anything ever gets done or acknowledged- most of the time you don’t know what’s happened- can’t speak for yourself or people assume you’re drunk- they didn’t take any risks and they took correct action and ended it there 👏🏻
I was with some of the SoT streamer gals at the time, and some of the men were super vigilant on letting us know there was something going on and making sure we got out immediately before even knowing what was potentially happening.
You could really feel people looking out for each other at the village as well.
Shout out to the SoTfest team. I’ve seen things circulating from people who weren’t there- please know that they’ve taken every precaution. Bags were searched on entry (even hats). They’ve banned people, and the second something looked off- they shut it down and worked with authorities without hesitation.
They could have been quiet and made assumptions that would have been a lot easier and not put bad light on anything, but they weren’t- they made everyone aware of the situation, got help, the authorities, and shut it down on a possibility.
Mad props.
The absolute MUST #SeaOfThievesCommunityDay nomination for #BeMorePirate is the amazing creator @BoxyFresh_
His passion for the game has never waivered, although his content leaves something to be desired (a funny blue hat!).

@daltoosh Good work man, I know it ain't easy sometimes. Focus on the extra time it's given you to feel alive, that's the motivation that keeps me going.
@CJShiz@TheWorldofChap@Miffoo_ Chap-tastic! This boat is Chaptivating. Sailing into a whole new chapter of awesome! Smooth sailing and Chappy days ahead!
Dear @SeaOfThieves, I was just thinking to myself, man I wish there were more phantoms. Maybe you should reconsider naming this season, Sea of Thieves: The Phantom Menace. BEST SEASON YET! #SeaOfThieves#season17
So, you wanna know what @Take2Interact needs to do, huh? Simple. First, they rip up that EULA, make it a damn welcome mat for modders, not a legal minefield. Second, they hand out their SDK – the tools, the blueprints – with a bow on it, tell folks to go wild. And finally, if they've got the balls, they throw that code open source. Let the community build the future. Otherwise, Kerbal's just another gravestone in the gaming cemetery.
STOKED to finally start playing @playwildgate today! The playtests have been crazy fun and I can't wait to see the great new changes I've read about in the patch notes for the full release! #wildgate
