@Fitzbytheocean @Azathath@IkegamiRafael @barwienie @NoContextBrits As it stands, collectively, English speakers agree that the word "bread" properly applies to the picture at the start of this thread. Good luck changing that. And until you do, you're wrong.
@Fitzbytheocean @Azathath@IkegamiRafael @barwienie @NoContextBrits No, bread is an English word for whatever English speakers say it is for. As an English speaker you can disagree with what the definition is, but you would have to change what the majority of English speakers think in order to change the definition.
@patriot_ii@AlechiaNorwood@davidhogg111 20 years old, moved out from my parents at 17. I pay my own everything: rent, gas, car payment, insurance, food, etc. I work 30 hours a week for a home improvement store while full-time in college (15 credits). I also volunteer 10 hours a week with a non-profit. Still voted Blue.
@intotheairwaves@paytmitch Yeah, and they will change it if it becomes clear they are wrong. But, to the best of my knowledge, the AP has a pretty good track record when calling these races.
@gmacteach @paulisci Hey, I did a little digging on my University Library's website and found some related information. DM me if you would like what I found, the ordinance appeared in an 1899 edition of the San Francisco Call, and I'm looking for others.
@Pandp2000@HallGrae @KucinskiGeri @joshgad They can't, there are laws protecting the privacy of people under 18. Even a broad statement like you suggest could give the parents grounds to sue the district.
Carl’s 20 yrs as prosecutor & 10 on the bench were tough on crime with the highest priority given to prosecution of rape/sex crimes. He was devoted to prosecuting predators, protecting women/children and was honored by sexual assault shelters & more. His record speaks for itself.
@Duploctopus @dividejen @tammybaldwin I get that Dems have not been very productive, but do you really think letting the Republicans continue to hold power in the Senate is going to make things better? Who are you helping by not voting? Or are you just doing it to be petty?
@Mimothekitten@3amthou43929621 @1920Thomas @WalshFreedom Yes, exactly, someone who gets it. UWM, my university right now, just got money for a new Chemistry building. The old one NEEDS replaced, but they can also barely get any funding to maintain others. Soon they'll all need replaced, unless they actually get some maintenance funds.
@3amthou43929621 @1920Thomas @Mimothekitten@WalshFreedom Receipts, if anyone cares. Yes, these are different schools, but they are both part of the UW system. It is absolutely ridiculous that the Sportsball coach at Madison makes almost 100times that of a Professor who's been teaching for 20years
@3amthou43929621 @1920Thomas @Mimothekitten@WalshFreedom I do, however, agree that the stadiums are a big waste of money. In my university system, it is the stupid sports coaches that are the real waste of money. They are making 10 sometimes even 100 times what the professors make.
@thechrishowardd @Lenny99751602@linusgsebastian Speaking as someone living in debt, if you can afford to take out enough debt to buy a tesla, you're doing okay. I have a $12k car on a payment plan I can barely afford. If you can make tesla payments, you're doing fine, or a complete fool.
@EposVox @ThatLurkingDev@mesanabinladen@linusgsebastian Tell me about it, my car cost $12k and I can barely afford it, still have years before it's paid of. Anyone who owns a tesla is doing OK.
