@buddhist_be @carlacristofani @lifeveganized I just don't like the idea that an atrocity should only be judged if it's either illegal or if there's an ingrained societal norm deeming the action immoral. Sure you shouldn't treat both atrocities equally, but one shouldn't be brushed to the side due to norms either.

@OneVeganHeathen @vegan_logic Even that would get some carnists irritated, because they find the lack of mutual respect bad in most cases from my experiences. Got to the point where I just had to get some new friends lol, veganism changed my view on the world, and my friends at the time did not support me.

@molandfreak @XanderhalTV I could also be worrying about people littering and what not, but I'm less concerned with these forms of harm because theyre indirect and don't require the needless exploitation of sentient beings to partake in. Im concerned with direct exploitation of beings over the environment

@molandfreak @XanderhalTV I definitely agree with your logic in the long scheme of things, but I'm more concerned with how we can reduce our direct impact rather than our indirect impact. I'd prefer one not smoke at all but if they must I'm going to encourage the cruelty free option, aka indirect harm.
