Rework of: How Doth The Little Crocodile
How doth the little vampire
Extend her shining fangs;
And drain the crimson of the empire
To curb her hunger pangs
How sweetly she seems to grin,
How neatly spreads her claws,
And welcomes little striplings in,
With gently smiling jaws.
@Dominic_Nickoli ••The smell of blood wafts through the door before it’s even fully open•• Perfect… ••I murmur when I see the woman on the other side. With a heavy sigh I slip into our suite and head for Nickoli and Ava’s room so I can put them down for their naps before going to handle—
@Dominic_Nickoli Five minutes? ••I perk a brow and calmly lower Ava to the floor so she can come see you, mile-long legs crossing as I lean back against the cushions•• You have quite the imagination… The children are fine, and when they start asking questions I’ll tell them—
@Dominic_Nickoli So go home. ••When I lift my face to you, it’s stone cold•• We both know you’ll never walk away from our children. You’ll go home, I’ll get back from Paris, and you’ll come around to see them.

@Dominic_Nickoli ••After polishing off a single glass of wine, I leaned over the railing and watched the unsuspecting humans below. Somewhere in my mind, I imagined seeing you in the crowd. I told myself you were old news, though, and watched for someone else instead. Anyone I could bring—
@Dominic_Nickoli —murmur, kissing the tops of their heads before I get up hastily and step out onto the balcony with a cigarette in one hand and a glass of wine in the other. Unfortunately, you’d taken all of the human blood with you when you’d left and I didn’t have the time - nor—
@Dominic_Nickoli ••Our call went dead though it wouldn’t have mattered, her question would go unanswered. I toss my phone on the couch and crouch down beside our children, falling into the rare motherly mode you only wished you could see•• What are you playing?
