Louise stopped at the shelter first. She got the blanket Isabella-Suzie was laying on, and brought it to wrap Guimauve up in. He passed away with a familiar scent of his best friend.
We will miss you so much Guimauve. So, so much.

Making the decision and then announcing the death of
one of our little precious ones is never an easy task.
But there are some announcements that are harder than others.

Historically in Australia—where tortoises do not live—the name “tortoise” was used for fresh-water turtles.
Thankfully, Australians seem to have cut that nonsense out.
