In the ancient world, the way many people gained great wealth was by forming gangs of strong men, beating up their neighbors, and taking their stuff.

People still speak with admiration of men like Alexander the Great and Julius Caesar, but they were little better than gangsters who enriched themselves through armed robbery.

This was a negative sum game, and assured that people remained poor and unhappy for thousands of years.

Eventually, however, we figured out that respecting each other’s rights, building things, and trading meant that we could play positive sum games instead. We could increase the amount of wealth, and all would benefit. As a result, we moved from living in unheated shacks to living in what our ancestors would’ve thought of as paradise in only a few hundred years.

However, there are still people out there who think that beating someone up and taking their stuff is a really great idea.

It is the great task of our civilization to shun such people, as they are not fit to be part of society.

The entire meaning of ‘health’ has shifted.

It once meant resilience + capacity

It now exists under the umbrella we call ‘longevity’

This is significant

Longevity = risk management.

No polarity, no contrast. no intensity, no exposure to threat, no self authored vision,

just a standardised, uniform regimen -
with each new trend replacing the last as soon as the modern ‘thought leaders’ grant permission

the general theme is to avoid the edges and never deviate outside of ‘the middle’

With strict prohibition on anything that may threaten internal rupture (the literal prerequisite to change).

Remain in line with the rest of the herd.

Don’t venture too far ahead.

don’t bother trialling anything for yourself, there’s simply no need.

If you want to remain stable, predictable and manageable then the pursuit of longevity aligns perfectly

But if you seek to distinguish yourself from the herd, you must find another way

My theory is that the American empire is JUST getting started.

US has a stranglehold on Space with SpaceX, which is the next frontier for defense/war. It has a comically large lead. No one will be close for at least 20 years.

It is the leading power in AI by far - both in models and chips. China is catching up fast, but the US has an inherent mechanism that will increase the likelihood that it will win in the end - a free market + capitalism + free speech.

A free market + capitalism allows for brutal competition between companies. Free speech allows for AI models to be maximally truth seeking, which means that AIs CAN and WILL BECOME smarter than humans to the point where they can tell the truth about its leaders.

This is literally impossible in China. Try having a Chinese model that says Xi Jinping is corrupt. Good luck with that.

Then, you have a country that has more guns than people and surrounded by two massive oceans and two friendly neighbors, which means any sort of kinetic take over of the country is literally impossible.

Not to mention the US has BY FAR the best and strongest military.

The only way adversaries can hope to defeat the US is by tearing it from within by pitting us against each other. This is why it's virtually guaranteed that all the division/hatred/polarization you see within the country is fomented by China/Russia Psy Ops + propaganda efforts.

I'm not saying these aren't naturally happening in spots - America is far from perfect - but it would be naive to think our adversaries aren't pouring millions of gallons of fuel on a fire.

As long as the American public a) has the ability to exercise its free speech b) has a protected 2nd amendment c) capitalism and free markets continue to function and d) the populace is aware of how awesome America really is, it is literally impossible to stop the US's trajectory to global domination in the coming decades, especially as China's demographics continue to collapse.

It's the bottom of the 9th, the game is tied, and the US has the bases loaded. It's a 3-2 pitch.

All we need is a home run, and we win the rest of the century.

Refuse to comply, and dare them to geoblock. Without Google and Apple, the UK economy would probably collapse. It isn't so much that those services are crucial (although they are), it's that Britain is already on the fiscal brink and all it would really take is a little push.

I'm sure blocking the Internet would go over really well with the British people, too.

No we are not. I have nothing whatsoever in common with people like this. We don’t share similar lives, values, or even metaphysical belief systems with respect to how one should carry themselves in public.

There’s no shared national identity here, no matter how much decades of progressive ideology tries to claim otherwise.

This is what an enormous chunk of “Black America” thinks of you. They hate you, will celebrate your murder, and then then will complain about one of their own going to prison for it.

Watching tens of thousands of people just casually joke about one of their fellow co-ethnics murdering a kid in cold blood is a more radicalizing experience than years of reading obscure anti-liberal philosophy.

Believe me, I’ve now experienced both.

Reading poetry and writing poetry are a great way to get out of your head, because the flowery language forces you to feel the words more than think about them.

This is why on Substack I'll be adding a small piece of poetry written by me to each post, as I did with this image.

Then in my new community, launching soon, I'll write longer versions of the poems with more detailed (logical) break downs of what's going on and why, and how it all relates to getting out of you head.

This emotion then logic approach of using poetry is going to help a lot of people, especially if you've always considered poetry to be 'pointless' as I have been guilty of in the past.
