Finally above everything, every time I’ve taken a break I’ve genuinely loved it. I spend that time reading manga instead, I talk with friends rather than just throwing tweets out into the void, & I see less constant negativity.
Maybe I’ll come crawling back, but if I don’t, bye!
I’ve spoke to a couple of yous about it but as of today I am leaving this hellsite. I’m gonna keep this account up for the sake of my game lists & whatnot but since May I’ve been mulling over deleting Twitter & being free for a multitude of reasons. I’ll explain why before I dip.
I also think this site is making me a miserable person. I’m focusing too much on how many games I play. It’s making me too defensive of the ones I do like (eg BotW). I don’t think I’ve accomplished anything beyond making friends here who I now have deets for on other apps anyway.
@BaldBreens Of course they’re low stakes but you can still let people enjoy things. People will naturally get pissy when you’re constantly acting miserable like this, joke or not
Fun question.
What are some games that you can go a really long time without playing and lock back into at any point and still be as good as you once were?
Here are some of mine.
Astro Bot reviews will be up soon ahead of tomorrow's launch.
I'm thinking it scores big across the board. 93 on OpenCritic, if not more.
For reference, Astro's Playroom settled at 84, while Astro Bot Rescue Mission has an 89.
You?
In a month that looks like this for me (with Astro Bot this Friday as well!) you’ll be happy to know I am spending my time wisely by starting a replay of Red Dead Redemption II
@parmderp Yes 😭 Zelda might be the only one I potentially hold off on if I haven’t finished everything else but I’ve pre-ordered every single one of these, pray for me and my wallet 🥲
