On Sunday 11th May 2025, Councillor Petra Pemberton was elected Mayor of Thatcham. Councillor Pemberton’s husband Cllr Justin Pemberton was chosen to be her Consort.
Councillor Mark Lillycrop was elected Deputy Mayor, and his wife Jenny Lillycrop was chosen to be his consort.
COUNCIL SURGERY
Two Thatcham Councillors will be available to speak with local residents in Thatcham Broadway on Saturday 5th April, between 10.00am and 12.00pm.

We are delighted to announce that work has now begun on the much-anticipated Memorial Garden in the baby section of London Road Cemetery. The construction phase is now underway, with completion expected by the end of March.
The Memorial Garden has been designed to offer a peaceful sanctuary, featuring thoughtfully arranged landscaping, seating areas, and meaningful tributes. It will serve as a place of reflection for parents and loved ones who have experienced the loss of a child.
Residential and blue light access and will be maintained if possible .

***Road Closure - Mount Road, Thatcham***
West Berkshire Council has informed us that Mount Road will be closed between the junctions of Vincent Road and Park Avenue between 8am and 5pm on Wednesday 26th February.
The purpose of this closure is for permanent carriageway repairs
