In 1976, Nigeria pulled out of the Olympics in Canada in protest against New Zealand, whose rugby team had toured apartheid South Africa despite an international sporting boycott of the racist regime.

When the IOC refused African demands to ban New Zealand from the Games, Nigeria joined 28 other African nations in walking away, even though many of their athletes had already arrived in Canada.

There is a systematic attempt in the PSL to destroy Kaizer Chiefs. And we all know who is leading that program. This Bafana Bafana squad is part of that conspiracy. Essentially, teams had their players chosen SPECIFICALLY to market them to the world & boost the financial muscle of certain teams. Even their former players, that they have sold overseas, they have contracts that if they get sold, these local teams get a percentage. It is Financial Sabotage against Chiefs. Nothing more. Monyane, Maboe, Petersen all deserved to be in that squad & two of them are deserving starters. But Chiefs must die a slow death. It must be strangled. They have completed the process of ensuring that Chiefs does not get players in the PSL by REFUSING to sell it players. For 20 years STRAIGHT, we have had to depend on telling players to run down their contracts because their teams would never sell to us.
