@johanssonjamesd@Greappleton@printer_picks@Seth_3773 I mean, it's slow pitch softball involving middle age men, not Game 7 of the World Series. He could've slid, tried for the outside part of the plate, got in a rundown, or just taken the out. No need to potentially injure someone.
@CaptainDadpants@devyjake@PackripEwing Yeah, I don't agree with the pick but my bigger problem is with people acting like this somehow ruins the draft or worse, the league itself. The statement "it changes the rest draft" can be said for almost any and every pick. He reached on a top-10 back. It's a non-issue.
@CaptainDadpants@devyjake@PackripEwing How? Jeanty is a top-10 RB and top-15 overall pick in most, if not all formats and platforms. If he took Warren or another mid-rd RB #1, that pushes Jeanty down a spot. Which again, can change the trajectory of everyone's team build in a huge way.
@CaptainDadpants@devyjake@PackripEwing Yes it would. It pushes every consensus top 1st or 2nd rd pick down a single spot which can have a huge domino effect on team build.
@SaVaG3d0ubleCup@nicekicks I get that but like I said, with it being a Halloween theme it would make sense that that the shark teeth and some accents would be orange. Just a weird choice imo. Still a good looking shoe tho.
@AndyHolloway I'm in 4 separate leagues -- 2 redraft, 2 Dynasty. Each one is done either sometime on Labor Day weekend, Labor Day itself, or the night before Kickoff.
It's worked out perfectly in each league. Draft as close to kickoff as you possibly can.
@CaptainDadpants@devyjake@PackripEwing I understand your point that picks in the 1st, especially at the #1 spot cause higher variance in the draft, but again, that's such a non-statement. If he took someone like Jaylen Warren there, sure, what you're saying would be insightful but he didn't...so it's not.
@CaptainDadpants@devyjake@PackripEwing But you're acting like other picks don't also don't change a draft. He took a top-12, 3 down, upside RB. It's not like he took a timeshare scrub. You can literally say "it changes the draft" for every single pick if you wanna hyper-analyze things.
@Mcarlson15_@SalVetriDFS The TEs you're getting late in drafts are usually never gonna be worth a Flex spot. Unless, like you said, it's a super-deep league.
@workerdrone9118@SalVetriDFS Unless you're getting insane value, 99% of the time, you should be looking to build high-upside depth at RB or WR later in drafts as opposed to taking another QB or TE you likely can't and won't start. IMO.
