New story about the Haitians in Springfield, OH, where the cat hoax originated. CEO of McGregor Metal: “I wish I had 30 more. Our Haitians come to work every day. They don’t have a drug problem. They’ll stay at their machine. That’s a stark difference from what we’re used to.”
Building more housing isn't this horrible cross we must bear. New homes and neighbors are not pollution. This crisis is an opportunity for richer lives: more housing options, more choice in how you get to work, more shops and services and restaurants, etc.
I literally want to live in a nice walkable neighborhood where I can walk to get an iced coffee, pet some dogs along the way and be able to take a train anywhere I want. Genuinely I’m not asking for much.
Good @Amtrak service shouldn’t be a privilege just for those on the coasts.
New routes proposed today would help grow businesses, create jobs, and connect communities in Ohio & across the Midwest. I’ll keep fighting to make sure Ohio's at the center of Amtrak's expansion plans.
Cleveland is adopting a 15-minute city framework. Here’s what that means:

The legislation to allow Accessory Dwelling Units in Cincinnati passed out of committee today! One step closer to being the first major city in Ohio to legalize this type of housing. Thanks to everyone for their support in this effort!
Timothy J. Keller, husband, father, grandfather, mentor, friend, pastor, and scholar died this morning at home. Dad waited until he was alone with Mom. She kissed him on the forehead and he breathed his last breath. We take comfort in some of his last words...
Today, I joined @ccc_jeffreys, @CMReggieHarris, @KearneyForCincy, and community leaders to announce our proposed legislation to legalize Accessory Dwelling Units in Cincinnati.
People often view their town’s development decisions based on personal impact, rather than communal impact:
“We don’t need bike lanes, I don’t ride a bike”
“We don’t need more housing, I already have a house”
But when we consider the needs of our neighbors, everyone benefits.
We should be building this light rail plan instead of the widening the BSB Corridor. (It's from the same OKI report.)

Good morning from Cincinnati where @ODOT_Cincinnati and @KYTCDistrict6 is looking to spend $3.8B doubling the I-75 corridor to 16 lanes. Meanwhile at peak rush hour, traffic is free flow and the AQI is an unhealthy 140. Cincinnati needs better options. If you agree, Retweet.
Dear @POTUS, as a resident of Cincinnati, I implore you to support the development of light rail in our city. It is a crucial step towards creating a more sustainable and equitable transportation system for all. #LightRailForCincinnati#BidenAdministration
