Sometimes I do not understand the chess world. As someone who has organized over 900 rated tournaments, I cannot understand why @ArjunErigaisi is not getting more invitations to top elite tournaments? 🤔

He is an incredible talent as he is playing exciting fighting chess. Why keep on inviting boring players who are satisfied with drawing/not losing instead of giving this deserving young man a chance?

RBI says banks and NBFCs do wrong things with interest:
- Charge interest from agreement date rather than from disbursement
- Write a cheque for a date, charge interest from that date, but give customer the cheque many days later
- Take advance EMIs but charge interest on the full loan
- Even with partial repayment in the middle of the month, post interest for the full month anyhow.

Stop this, says RBI. But they've left it to the entities to fix it, for now. Expect them to not do so and then RBI to be nasty next year.

Arjun Erigaisi starts off the Tepe Sigeman Chess Tournament 2024 with a win! He defeated the Women's World Champion Ju Wenjun with the White pieces.

It was a complex game, and Wenjun decided to enter a line where she gave up the exchange for active piece play. But a couple of inaccurate decisions, and Arjun came out on top - he smoothly converted his advantage and won the game.

With this win, Arjun Erigaisi becomes the World no.5 player with a live rating of 2763.6! He's also the India no.1 player right now. Arjun will face Nodirbek Abdusattorov with the Black pieces in the 2nd round tomorrow!
