🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting after White inmate in a South Carolina jail run by a Black man just DIED OF THIRST on the floor of his cell... covered INCHES-DEEP IN FECES, with the water to his sink SHUT OFF.
He drank out of his OWN TOILET to stay alive.
He wrote letters to his father pleading for help because he was being tortured because he was White.
His name was Gary "Bubba" Blair, he was 43.
He was the caregiver for his own elderly father. He had two nephews he adored and a dog named Scrubby.
So why was he in jail?
In February, Bubba showed up at his sister's house wearing a sheriff's office golf shirt, a security badge, handcuffs, and pepper spray. Deputies arrested him for impersonating a police officer.
A judge found he wasn't mentally competent to stand trial and ORDERED the state to place him into treatment on June 3.
The South Carolina Office of Mental Health never followed through.
Bubba sat in that jail for 181 days waiting for a spot.
He passed away 51 days after a judge ordered them to get him help.
In April, he write a letter to his father:
"I've lost about 90 pounds so far. I'm starving to death in here; only two meals a day, that's it... you starve, and I also have to drink from my toilet and no mattress to sleep on, only a hard ground."
"I’ve been abused by staff and assaulted by everyone on the unit; I had to go 28 days without a shower... no help for a white man"
"The staff is very nasty to white inmates thanks to Troy Ellerbe and James Dixon."
Then in May, Bubba did something that will haunt me.
He wrote a letter to a CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE begging for help.
The letter had a bad address. It was returned. It never arrived.
Meanwhile, sources say the water to his sink was SHUT OFF. His cell floor and walls were covered in feces INCHES DEEP. He was alone. Never let out.
Other inmates, who got a few hours out of their cells, told the news they watched Bubba drink toilet water.
So they took an empty potato chip bag and filled it with water and pushed it through the food slot in his door!!!!!
Most of it spilled before it ever reached him.
On July 24th, jailers found him dead on the floor.
49 days later, the autopsy came back.
Cause of death: profound dehydration due to DEPRIVATION OF WATER.
Manner of death: HOMICIDE.
The report also found bed sores on his HEELS, consistent with a man lying on a concrete floor for days at a time.
Acute bronchial pneumonia.
Profound weight loss.
Physical evidence that he had been INGESTING TOILET WATER.
He had lost so much weigh and was in such poor condition, his sister and aunt went to the funeral home to see him... they did not recognize his body.
The sheriff fired the Black jail administrator 5 days after Bubba died, and refuses to say why.
Bubba Blair sang to old folks in nursing homes. He took care of his daddy.
He deserved so much better than dying of thirst on a concrete floor.

They may have help that they're failing to mention? I wouldn't worry about their odd, egotistical, humble brags. My house is not spick & span, but it's just fine. There's lots of chaos with children around. I am currently getting my kiddo to learn to clean up good; almost three.
All my mom moots who have perfectly clean houses and continue to harp on it like they are better than everyone else is really starting to bum me out today.

everyone else has explained the theology here, but have you considered that while you probably need a lot of help around the home because you seem to have a massive work load for one woman, your husband could hire someone to help you that he doesn't have to sleep with? a relative could come stay and support you. if he can't afford to hire someone for a season, could he really afford to support a second wife for her entire life? you were never meant to have this much work in isolation and that's why your resolve on this is maybe breaking down. It's not fair to you.

@ghfjhhhhj Death penalty for sure. Asylums only help in the instance that she is kept at a facility prior to commiting a double homicide. The history of multiple series of burglaries is a sure sign of kleptomania.

Their names were Darryl and Sharon Getman. He was 83, she was 80.
They had been married for more than 20 years.
On December 30th, a woman named Vickie Williams was seen wandering a retirement community.
Security guards saw her.
Cameras caught her multiple times.
One resident was so unnerved by an encounter with her that they hit a panic alarm.
...then she knocked on the Getmans' door.
She asked if she could use their shower and charge her cellphone.
Darryl and Sharon Getman, 83 and 80 years old decided they should show some kidness...
...and they let her in.
Sometime between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m., prosecutors say Vickie Williams grabbed a kitchen knife and brutally m*rdered them both.
A forensic pathologist testified they found of MULTIPLE wounds.
Both had defensive wounds, meaning an 83-year-old man and his 80-year-old wife spent their final moments fighting for their lives.
When police found Darryl, a butcher-style knife was still buried in his abdomen.
There were bloody footprints through the house and out into the garage.

She took their car keys. And at 2 in the morning, a camera photographed the Getmans' green Kia Soul rolling out of that retirement community.
She drove it all the way to Savannah, Georgia.
And when she turned up at a man's apartment in Georgia days later, here is what he testified, under oath, this week:
"She told me she bought a new car."
She LIED about it and he said she was rushing inside "like somebody was after her or something."
She was arrested January 2nd at an Amtrak station in Savannah, still driving the couple's car.
And now, almost four years later, her defense is that she was suffering from 'psychosis" and should be found not guilty by reason of insanity.
Prosecutors say she has an arrest record going back decades of assault and robbery.
Say their names. Darryl Getman. Sharon Getman.
