Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble. #goodtrouble
@ellistj3 It is insane. I find this tweet comparing COVID19 to the flu very misleading. Check out this paper from a Harvard researcher, it talks about the equivalency a little bit and the issue I brought up before about comparing the two with different data.

@ellistj3 We need voting reforms too. There are a few interesting ideas out there but I think we could benefit from ranked choice voting. The hope is that it promotes other parties and eventually we would have more than 2 viable candidates. Strategic voting becomes unnecessary
@ellistj3 I also think the comparison to wearing a Nazi uniform might be extreme, but relevant. Society has agreed that symbols so offensive and representative of immense harm are disrespectful. There was a similar backlash for a dude that dressed up in an SS uniform and his kid as Hitler.
@ellistj3 Similar to Emma, I think that using entertainment as a reason to mimic something so important to someone’s identity is not valid. A costume is inherently a caricature and something so fundamental shouldn’t be caricaturized.
