Sending a goody bag along with an invite prior to the event is RESPECT. This gets them excited to create buzz PRIOR to the event. How they are treated at the event incentivizes them to create content with the goody bag when they get home. I doubt either one was done properly
In addition, at every successful brand event, there has to be gifts. Tbh I dare say that it is a MUST. I’m hearing that there were no goodie bags shared. If you won’t be paying the influencers, two things pose as an incentive; goody bags and respect…
3. Contact BOTH niche influencers and celebrities and include the social publishers as well. With this, they could have even surpassed their target. They went with a 4th strategy which was invite celebs with a sprinkle of niche influencers
2. Contact the big and small niche influencers only and hope that the target is met. Not the greatest strategy because this is based on sheer hope and luck however going by how excited people were for that launch, there’s a great chance it could have worked
1. Contact as many niche influencers they can get - both big and small, then complement the impressions with social publishers. Social publishers are the likes of BellaNaija, KraksTV, StyleVitae etc who are content curators not necessarily actual creators
For some campaigns, the client states that they want X number of impression. Let’s say for this campaign it was 10 million. In such a case, they have a myriad of options…
Nevertheless, if the campaign is not set up for success by hitting the multiple touch points along the way, the only thing it will achieve is numbers without impact
Been thinking over @siainstyle ‘s thread yesterday about what d KPI for the PR agency that launched Fenty in Nigeria might hv been.
If their sole KPI for d launch was impressions, I get why the launch went the way it did. However, it could have been better. Let me explain…
