Today is not only #FlashBackFriday, it is ALSO Love Your Lawyer Day! ⚖️ SO. We decided to "flashback" to the original post from 2015, which was picked up by the Wall Street Journal and several other news outlets (we're kind of a big deal). And awaaaaayy we go ...

Here's all you need to know about this annual day to honor lawyers -- which has been around since 2001!
🤷 WHO STARTED THIS? That'd be the ALPIA -- the American Lawyers Public Image Association, which is based in Fort Lauderdale. They get the credit for bringing positive recognition to lawyers around the nation.
☝️ WHAT IS THE ALPIA? That answer is easy: They think lawyers are good people who sometimes get a bad rap. They bill themselves as "the only association in the world whose sole purpose is to promote a positive public image of lawyers."
🤝 IS THE ABA ON BOARD? You bet. The ABA Law Practice Division recognized it, making it *totally* official!
🥳 OK ... SO ... HOW DO I CELEBRATE? There's no right or wrong way. The basic idea of the day is to simply hold the lawyer jokes for 24 hours; or contact an attorney who has helped you and tell them again how much you appreciate it; or if you really want to go the extra mile, send them a "Thank You" note or send them a gift basket.
