HON. ABBAS UBA SARAKI DEFECTS FROM APC TO NDC
In a significant political move that reflects a renewed vision, purpose, and commitment to public service, Hon. Abbas Uba Saraki has officially announced his defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
This development comes following a meeting held tonight, 15th of May, 2026 between Hon. Abbas Uba Saraki and the National Leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, PhD, FNSE, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, where discussions centered on the future of politics, good governance, youth inclusion, and the need for leadership that remains closer to the people.
Hon. Abbas Uba Saraki’s decision is driven by his conviction to be part of a political movement that prioritizes the interests of ordinary citizens, empowers young people, strengthens unity, and promotes meaningful development across communities.
Speaking on development, Hon. Abbas Uba Saraki emphasized that the time has come to embrace a new direction capable of restoring hope, building stronger connections with the people, and advancing a politics rooted in justice, sincerity, and service.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of collaboration among visionary leaders committed to building a more inclusive, progressive, and people-oriented political future.

CONDOLENCE VISITS IN GALA OF SUMAILA LGA AND KACHAKO OF TAKAI LGA
Earlier today, I paid a condolence visit to the residence of Alhaji Yakubu in Unguwar Ɓaure, within Gala Ward, Wakilin Garin Kachako, Amadu Bashari as well as the father of Balarabe Mai-Markade of Kachako town in Takai LGA.
I was accompanied by group of friends, family, and supporters.
During the visit, we offered prayers, asking Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased and grant their families the fortitude to bear the loss.
We also paid homage to a respected scholar in Gala community Alaramma Awaisu gala where we shared further prayers for peace, progress, and blessings, while exchanging warm greetings with the good people of Gala and Kachako.

Today, I had the privilege of meeting with key stakeholders across Sumaila LGA, respected erstwhile leaders of the APC, dedicated members who recently joined from NNPP, and the leadership of the Waraka Family and other prominent faction leaders representing all 11 wards.
This gathering goes beyond politics; it reflects a shared vision — one that prioritizes inclusion, respect for experience, and a collective commitment to progress.
Together, we are building a structure where every voice matters and every stakeholder is carried along.
The journey continues, stronger, united, and focused.

Strategic Engagement with Sumaila LGA Caucus
Earlier today, I held a strategic engagement with members of the Sumaila LGA Caucus.
The meeting was conducted under the leadership of Alhaji Lawan Ahmad Sumaila, Chairman of the Sumaila LGA Caucus. It provided a valuable platform for meaningful dialogue, reflection, and alignment on the path ahead. We discussed the importance of experience, unity, and collective responsibility in driving sustainable grassroots development.
I am pleased with the outcome of the engagement, as members of the caucus expressed their full support and confidence in our shared vision. Their warm reception and commitment to this journey further strengthen our resolve to continue working for the progress of our people.
This engagement marks another important step in strengthening grassroots collaboration and building a united front for the development of Sumaila and beyond.
Restoring Access to Clean Water in Diribo
On April 4th, Hon. Abbas Uba Saraki has facilitated the repair of two manual borehole hand pumps in Diribo, Karfi Ward, Takai LGA, restoring a vital source of clean, potable water for the community.
This intervention has eased the daily struggle for clean water, a basic necessity for life.
As community members aptly expressed during the process, "Ruwa shi ne rayuwa" (Water is life).
Access to clean water is not just a need; it's dignity, health, and opportunity.
This project reflects Hon. Saraki's commitment to improving living conditions in Sumaila/Takai.
Residents echoed their appreciation, saying "Allah Ya saka da alheri" (May God reward you with goodness).

Strategic Engagement with Kano South Party Leaders
Hon. Abbas Uba Saraki joined other stakeholders in accompanying Sen. Abdurrahman Kawu Sumaila to a meeting with party leaders from Kano South at Government House, Kano.
The engagement focused on coordination within the party, regional priorities, and the direction of political activities across Kano South.
It also served as an opportunity for stakeholders to align on issues affecting communities in Sumaila and Takai.
